Patented seatpost with an integrated seat rail clamp. The seatpost tube features 5 holes in which the LEDs are enclosed.
A cable with two open ends extends out of the lower end of the seatpost tube for connection to the bicycle dynamo.

5 LEDs with integrated electrical light control and battery management system. The two upper LEDs are protruding, also ensuring the lateral emission of light. The lower 3 LEDs are sunk into the seat post tube. The LEDs, circuit board are enclosed in a plastic housing and are thus protected (dust and splash proof in accordance with IPX5).
Light Module | 2 wide angle red LEDs, 3 high brightness red LEDs |
Brightness | 12cd |
Power Source | The bicycle dynamo hub with alternating current (AC) Nominal voltage: 6V (3W) |
Nominal voltage | AC 6V/3W |
Power consumption | 0.5W |
Surge Protection | A Zener diode prevents damage to the electronics or the LEDs from voltage surges. The rear light may also be powered by the dynamo if no headlight is connected in parallel to consume power. |
K-number | K-1595 |
Seatpost test standard | ISO City |
Compliant with standard or directive | RoHS, StVZO §22a TA Nr.23 (Rear lights for bicycles), IPX5 |
Package Contents | Rear light seatpost |
Use the correct diameter corresponding to your bicycle frame.
Use the appropriate tool to fasten the saddle support.
Adhere to the safety lines of the minimum and maximum insertion heights.
The rear light may only be operated in the following angular range: Max 76˚, Min 70˚.
The lower two LEDs may be sunk in the frame. Always pay attention to the mechanical stopper of the maximum insertion depth!
The rear light must be mounted in such a way that it is illuminated at the rear. The reference axis (see drawing) must be aligned parallel to the bicycle‘s longitudinal axis.
The two lower LEDs may be inserted into the frame. The minimum insertion length into the frame is 100mm. The rear light must be aligned so that it shines backward. The reference axis (see drawing) must be aligned with the longitudinal axis of the bicycle. A mechanical stopper prevents the insertion of the seatpost to cover the 3rd LED(from the bottom) and damage to the two top protruding LEDs.
Angle limits (Frame seat tube) | Min: 70.0° Max: 76.0° |
Connecting to the power source | The connector of built-in light seatpost and the connector of power source should be compatible, which must be ascertained before the purchase of the product. |
The rear light is not equipped with a switch and is therefore on, as long as the dynamo is connected.
If the rear light is connected to the rear light output of a headlight, it is switched on and off via the headlight switch.
If the rear light is operated independently of a headlight via the dynamo, the headlight must be switched on separately.
At startup, the product must be dry. Remove any moisture before riding. After installation, test that the seatpost does not drop under load. Take care that the LEDs are not covered by a bag or clothing when riding. Do not make any independent changes to the product. Do not try to open the product.
Steps to take in the event of a failure | If either LED no. 4 or no. 5 is defective, the mode must be switched to the 3 LED mode to conform with the regulation. Repair or replacement is nevertheless recommended. If LED no. 1, no. 2 or no. 3 fails, the seat post must in any case be sent to the importer for repair or replacement. |
Steps to take in the event of a failure | In the case of failure of any of the 5 LEDs, the seat post must be sent to the importer for repair or replacement. |
Operating Temperature | Min: -15° C Max: 45° C Optimum storage temperature: 20-25°C |
